Participants who achieve a minimum of 70% on the food handler certification exam will receive a Ontario Food Handlers Certificate. This certificate meets mandatory food safety training requirements and is recognized by health units in Ontario.
Certification is valid for five (5) years from the date of issue.
Participants recently completing a training option or previously certified in Ontario, must show proof of training or certification, in order to write the exam. This will allow individuals to complete the re-certification, written exam, at the reduced fee versus the paying the full training and exam fee.
