Lambton Public Health searching for dog following bite incident in Sarnia

Point Edward, ON – Lambton Public Health is seeking information about the location of a dog and its owner following a dog bite incident that occurred at approximately 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 3, on Christina Street between Lochiel and Cromwell streets.

The dog is described as a small, black Chihuahua, wearing a multi-coloured sweater, and being walked by a female with gray/blonde hair who appeared to be in her 50s or 60s.

The woman was also accompanied by a man pulling a wagon carrying a small white dog. The bite victim initially obtained the owner’s contact information and subsequently lost it.

If the dog is not located and the health status of the animal verified, the victim will need to receive post exposure rabies shots.
