Noelle’s Gift Champions the Student Nutrition Program

Point Edward, ON – Noelle’s Gift Foundation donated $14,000 to the Ontario Student Nutrition Program-Lambton (OSNP-Lambton) to support the food costs of 38 schools that feed more than 7,400 Lambton students every day.

“Noelle’s Gift has been a constant champion for healthy food in schools,” said Leslie Palimaka, Health Promotion Assistant at Lambton Public Health. “Their commitment to Lambton students shows their dedication to providing a nourishing start to the day.”

Nutrition programs support a healthy nutritional environment in schools, and increase the consumption of fruits and vegetables of children and youth to better prepare kids for a full day of learning.

The Student Nutrition Program receives base funding from the Ontario Student Nutrition Program of 12 cents per student per day. On average it costs $1 per day to feed a child a healthy snack.
