The Lambton Community Health Study (LCHS) Board of Directors was formalized in 2008. The Board has representation from a diverse group of local stakeholders including municipalities, First Nations, business, labour, industry, occupational health, victims of occupational illness, and public health. The County of Lambton committed in-kind support for the health study group. The function of the Board was to obtain funding and oversee the development of a study that would examine the impacts of the local petrochemical industry on the health of Lambton County residents.
