Lambton Public Health works to keep you, your family and our community safe and healthy.

We Are Lambton Public Health

Lambton Public Health offers services that support health and well-being in Lambton County by working with the community to help keep people healthy, stop sickness and injury, and promote policies that help people live healthier lives.

We are one of 29 local health units in the Province of Ontario and receive funding from both the Ontario Ministry of Health and the Corporation of the County of Lambton.

How We Work

Public health work can be broken down into common categories.

Using common terms for our work helps us work better and more efficiently and makes it easier for everyone to communicate clearly, measure progress, plan, and work together—things that are all important for improving health and reaching our goals.

How We Measure Our Work

Our work is guided by the Ontario Public Health Standards and we report our progress to the Board of Health for Lambton County, which is made up of municipal representatives on County Council

Reports are provided to the Board of Health at each County Council meeting and are available in their publicly posted agendas. Other health reports are available through our Public Health Reports.

Positive Space

Lambton Public Health believes that diversity enriches the communities in which we live and work. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. We are committed to promoting an open and welcoming space that is equitable and accessible to persons of all sexual orientations and gender identities and expressions, for both clients and employees.
