Lambton Public Health Searching for Dog That Bit Man

Point Edward, ON – Lambton Public Health is seeking information about a dog and its owner following a dog bite incident around noon on Sunday, August 18 in the parking lot outside the convenience store at the corners of Trudeau and Confederation streets.   

The dog, described as a black and tan German shepherd was leashed and with the owner at the time of the bite. The owner is described as a man in his early 30s, with a beard and about 173-177 cm (about 5-feet 9-inches) in height. He was sitting on a bicycle.   

If you have any information relating to the location of the dog and its owner, contact Lambton Public Health at 519-383-8331 or toll-free 1-800-667-1839. If the dog is not located and the health status of the animal verified, the victim will need to receive post exposure rabies shots.
