Point Edward, ON – Lambton Public Health (LPH) is reminding high school aged students and parents or guardians of students with out-of-date immunization records as required by the Immunization of School Pupils Act, 1990 (ISPA) that students face suspension as of Tuesday, March 26, 2024 if their records or a valid exemption are not reported to Public Health before that date.
Students and parents/guardians are encouraged to call LPH’s Vaccine Call Centre at 226-254-8222 to report up-to-date immunizations or exemptions, with more information and options available on GetTheVaccine.ca.
As of Wednesday, March 20, there are 313 high school students in Lambton County who face suspension on March 26, down from 640 on February 29.
Combined with elementary students, this represents more than 5800 students in Lambton who have updated their immunization records since January 1, 2024.
