Provincial Rollout of COVID-19 Vaccine Booster for Teens 12-17

Point Edward, ON – Starting Friday, February 18, 2022, Ontario is expanding booster dose eligibility to youth aged 12 to 17.  The recommended interval is six months (168 days) after a second dose for this age group. Individuals must be 12 years old at the time of appointment.

We recommend booking an appointment online to ensure vaccine availability. Appointments can be booked through the GetTheVaccine.ca website, as well as at select pharmacies administering the Pfizer vaccine. Individuals can also attend any community walk-in clinic to receive the booster with no appointment while vaccine supplies last.

LPH also continues to encourage residents to contact their local pharmacy or primary care provider for more information on availability at these specific locations and to address any concerns or questions they may have before scheduling an appointment or attending a clinic.

To book or reschedule an appointment or view a list of upcoming clinic dates, please visit GetTheVaccine.ca. If you have questions or require assistance you can contact Lambton Public Health at 519-383-8331, Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
