Appointments Required to Keep Everyone Safe

Point Edward, ON – Providing safe access to COVID-19 response supports like testing, assessment and vaccination are critical to reducing transmission in the community. Appointments are required under these supports in order to reduce the number of people accessing a site location, reducing line ups, and connecting appropriate staffing levels.

The safety of our community and employees that support these services is very important.

Children in school or child care that require a COVID-19 test will always need to book an appointment. If a School Testing Centre option is not available please book an appointment at a Public Assessment Centre. Access additional details for local testing and assessment options: https://lambtonpublichealth.ca/2019-novel-coronavirus/testing-criteria/

“We can appreciate the challenges of accessing testing and assessment services through an appointment. It’s not always as quick as we would like but it provides an important approach to safety,” said Chad Ikert, Manager of Health Protection at Lambton Public Health. “Safe access for you, your child and all employees is initiated well before everyone arrives – by appointment.”

If you are unsure of local options please visit LambtonPublicHealth.ca for information related to the COVID-19 response and the service you require. In addition, submit questions by web form (under related sections) or call 519-383-8331 or toll free 1-800-667-1839.

We appreciate your support – together we can beat the COVID-19 pandemic.
