  • tetanus, diphtheria (every 10 years)
  • flu shot (every fall)
  • pneumococcal (at age 65)
  • shingles (two-dose between age 65 to 70)
  • COVID-19

Other recommended vaccines may vary based on your health, occupation, or travel destination. For more information visit vaccines for adults.

Vaccines during pregnancy

Pregnant individuals are eligible to get free pertussis (whooping cough/ Tdap) vaccine in every pregnancy to help protect the baby after birth. The pertussis vaccine is given as part of the tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis (Tdap) vaccine.

The preferred time to get a Tdap vaccine is between 27 and 32 weeks of pregnancy to allow optimal transfer of antibodies to the baby. In Addition to Tdap, it is strongly recommended for pregnant women to get a yearly influenza vaccine and to keep up to date on their COVID-19 vaccinations.

Talk to your healthcare provider early in your pregnancy to ensure you get any recommended vaccines at the optimal time, additional vaccines may be recommended based on individual risk factors

Travel vaccines

Lambton Public Health is not providing travel vaccines at this time. Speak with your healthcare provider or visit a travel clinic for more information.

When traveling outside Canada, you may be at risk for certain vaccine-preventable diseases. Visit Public Health Agency of Canada to get a list of recommended vaccinations for your travel destination and other tips to protect your health while traveling.

Print/Download Immunization Records

To view or download a copy of your immunization record visit Immunization Connect Ontario (ICON). Only immunizations that have previously been reported to Lambton Public Health will be reflected in this record. Adults are not required to report their vaccinations to Lambton Public Health. ICON does not record COVID-19 vaccines.

To access ICON you’ll need your Ontario Health Card. The system will verify your identity based on the postal code your health card is attached to. The site will prompt you to create a PIN. It is important to write down your PIN and keep it in a safe place. If the incorrect PIN is entered 5 times, your ICON account will be locked until midnight and you won’t be able to try again until 12:01 a.m. the next day. Lambton Public Health cannot unlock accounts. If you need to reset your PIN and you have an email address associated with your account, you can do this yourself. There may be a 15 to 30-minute delay before you get the email with a link to reset.
